Following a finger injury that led him to cancel a series of upcoming tour dates on his 2017 All-American Road Show Tour, Chris Stapleton has announced the rescheduled dates.

The singer informed fans on Wednesday (May 31) that he had to cancel three weeks of tour dates, including his Nissan Stadium appearance during 2017 CMA Fest, without citing a reason at the time. He later turned to his official site and social media to share a letter he wrote to fans about the surprise cancellations due to a broken bone and detached tendon in his right index finger.

"The doctor is hopeful that with some physical therapy I will be playing guitar again soon. Right now, I can't possibly give you guys the show you deserve. I always want to give you my very best," Stapleton writes in the note to fans about his injury. "There is little in this world that I enjoy more than getting to make music with all of you night after night. Thank you for the privilege."

The new tour dates take place mainly in September, with single dates in August and November. They replace the canceled dates taking place throughout the month of June in California, Mississippi, Alabama, West Virginia, Ohio and Indiana.

The tour serves as support for Stapleton's latest album, From A Room: Volume 1, which was released in May of 2017. In addition to debuting at No. 1 on both the Billboard Country Albums and Top Album Sales charts, the "Either Way" singer had the biggest sales week for a country album since Luke Bryan's Kill the Lights dropped in 2015. From A Room: Volume 1 also debuted at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart.
