Cedar Rapids Restaurant Closes For Good

The sign on the front door broke news to patrons over the last few days. El Rancho Mexican Restaurant on 16th Avenue has closed its doors again, this time for good.

The "Now Open" signs are featured on three sides of the building which, according to a post on the restaurant's Facebook page, had reopened less than three months ago.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the only time the restaurant has been closed recently. Another post on their Facebook page announced they were reopening December 14 "after days of not being able to be open due to our heater being broken."

According to Yelp, El Rancho first opened in Cedar Rapids in 1997 at the location at 2747 16th Ave. S.W. Sadly, its run is over.
