Would I pay $100 for a 7 week unlimited pasta pass at a national chain? Uh...no.  Maybe you would take advantage of this "special" but don't think they're doing it out of the goodness of their hearts.  What this restaurant chain is doing is hoping that one person out a group of four or five will have the card and use it.  The rest of the group will order off the regular menu and make up for the money "saved" by the cardholder.  This is very similar to people who I hear say "I have to get to the mall today...I have a coupon for a certain store that expires today."  There-in lies the trick everybody.  The store or the mall gets you in to save that $2 on ONE item and 90 minutes later you walk out with $150 worth of stuff you wouldn't have bought had you not gone there in the first place.  "BUT I HAD A COUPON!!"

Now, back to my original thought - the restaurant.  It's not a horrible idea, and you do get unlimited salad, bread sticks, and pop - which by the way - will fill you up so you won't eat as much of that free pasta you paid $100 for.  Oops, did I just say that?

I'll stay home and cook on this one.

NOTE:  WE JUST FOUND OUT THIS DEAL IS GOOD FOR ONLY THE FIRST 1000 PEOPLE IN THE NATION.  YOU CAN START BUYING THEM TODAY, SEPTEMBER 9 AT 3PM.  GOOD WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.
