A bride in China was reunited with her long-lost mother on her wedding day, but it wasn't who she would've preferred.

The bride's soon-to-be mother-in-law noticed a birthmark on the bride's hand and immediately asked her if she'd been adopted 20 years ago. The family of the bride was taken aback by the question because they'd generally kept it a secret. They went on to explain that they had found a baby girl on the roadside years ago, who they took home and raised as their own daughter.

When she heard, the bride burst into tears. She described meeting her mother as "happier than the wedding day itself."

Obviously, there was still the matter of the wedding in which she was apparently going to be marrying her brother, but then that became cleared up quickly.
