This Iowa Couple’s Homemade Lasagna Led to Their Arrest
A husband and wife in Northern Iowa have been arrested in a case that involves lacing lasagna with a dangerous drug.
The Case of Laced Lasagna
CBS2 reports that a husband and wife from Decorah have been arrested and face several charges for allegedly lacing baked lasagna with a dangerous drug. The drug is Oxycodone. The goal of the dangerous dish? To give another woman a misscarriage, according to CBS2.
Husband and Wife Both Face Charges
According to CBS2, the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office arrested Matthew Uthoff Thursday morning in connection with the case. Amber Snow was charged earlier this month for the lasagna drugging plot that took place in December of 2025. CBS2 reports that Uthoff listed himself as the husband of Amber Snow in a January domestic abuse relief petition.
The Laced Lasagna Plot
Court documents say that Uthoff and Snow conspired to lace the lasagna with oxycodone to force a misscarriage in a pregnant woman in their family, according to CBS2. The woman did not know about the plot, and sheriff's official confirm that the woman was not harmed.
CBS2 reports that Snow will be arraigned on April 7th, with a bond reduction hearing on March 31st. No court dates have been listed yet for Uthoff.
