Iowans have a couple of great singers to root for on this season of 'American Idol!'

As promised, on the March 20th episode of ABC's 'American Idol,' not one, but TWO Iowans were featured prominently. We're happy to report that both women have officially made it to Hollywood!

The first Iowa contestant we told you about was 23-year-old Haley Slaton (now Haley Myles) of Cedar Rapids. At the time of her audition, Haley was 5 and a half months pregnant with her son Jaelyn Amir, but she told America that she wouldn't let that stop her from chasing her dreams. In fact, she said that she was hoping it would be a lesson to her son in the future, and that it would also inspire him to chase his dreams!

Haley's initial audition song was "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus, but the judges wanted to hear her sing something else before making a decision. She then did a rendition of Adele's song "One and Only," which landed her a ticket to Hollywood! You can check out her awesome audition below:

The other Iowa contestant we heard about last week is Sam Moss of Winterset. Sam was actually welcomed back to audition after being rejected from the show one month earlier in Austin. Katy Perry saw something in her that the other judges didn't see at the time, and she made that very clear with a t-shirt she had made that read "Sam & Lydia & Grace."

Instead of doing a cover for her second audition, Sam opted to play an original song on the piano. She explained that she didn't feel like she showed her true self during her first audition, so she wanted a chance to redeem herself. She ended up wowing all three judges, and they all agreed that Sam's song was one of the best originals they had heard all season! Luke Bryan joked around with Sam, saying "thank God you got so much better in such a short amount of time!" Here's her audition, in case you missed it:

We could not be more thrilled to have TWO Iowans headed to Hollywood to represent us this season! We are wishing them the best of luck and can't wait to see how far they go.

Oh, and don't forget! Iowa's own Alisabeth Von Presley will be featured on a new NBC competition show called "American Song Contest" tonight! You can read more about that HERE.
