Blythe And Koehn Ready To Hear Their Names At NFL Draft
One was a four-star offensive line recruit. The other a walk-on kicker from Solon. Both will wait to hear their names read as the NFL Draft gets underway tonight in Chicago. Austin Blythe and Marshall Koehn won't likely hear their names during tonight's first round, but both are solid players according to experts.
Blythe is expected to be a mid-round pick in this year's draft. He has been ranked as the second best run blocking center in the draft, which is heavy on quality centers. Koehn's path to the NFL is likely to come after the draft is over, as a free agent. He did set the NFL combine on fire with the fastest 40 time for a kicker at 4.61 seconds. That earned him a $10,000 bonus from a shoe deal with Addidas. Koehn has met with several NFL teams including Miami, Tampa Bay, and Atlanta. Koehn says he expects to sign a deal after the draft.
The first round of the NFL Draft begins tonight at 7 p.m. Rounds two and three are tomorrow night at 7 p.m. Rounds four through seven are Saturday afternoon.
