Main Street Cedar Falls is one of my favorite places to spend a Saturday afternoon. You can grab brunch at any of the delicious restaurants downtown, have a drink or two at the Brass Tap or Second State, and then just kind of wander around and check out the cute little shops.

One of the cutest shops in Downtown Cedar Falls will be closing its doors for good this fall.

Ann Eastman, the owner of Miss Wonderful, announced that the shop would be closing on social media. The news came out on Saturday, July 29th that this vintage store that brought some fun, retro vibes to the Cedar Valley, won't be open for too much longer.

Miss Wonderful opened for business in November of 2012 and Eastman is proud of just how long the business has stuck around.

"Miss W made it almost 11 years. That’s no small feat for a small business. I am so proud of this place and the part it played in our creative and bustling downtown," the Cedar Falls business owner said.

"It has been my absolute joy and dream to be here and do what I do. I got to come to work and play with color, vintage treasures, playful new products AND be with all my wonderful customers. I’ve always said that I have the best of them."

Located at 216 Main Street, this store is anticipated to stay open through mid to late September. So, you can still pay the store a visit for the next few weeks. Eastman even confirmed that everything (with the exception of display items) will be 25% off going forward.

There is no word on what sort of business will be taking its place. The owner of Miss Wonderful said that would be confirmed very soon, so we'll make sure to keep you updated once more information is made available.
