Yogi Berra, one of the greatest catchers in baseball history, passed away Tuesday night. He was 90 years old. Berra was the backbone of the New York Yankees franchise that won 10 World Series titles. After his playing career, Berra spent time as a manager with the Yankees, Mets and Astros. He was elected into the baseball Hall of Fame in 1972.

Besides his time behind the plate, Yogi Berra is also known for his colorful sayings, or Yogisms. He coined the phrase, "It ain't over, til it's over", and my personal favorite, "It's deja vu all over again!" His lovable personality was even the inspiration behind the cartoon character Yogi Bear.

Berra was also a war hero. He served in the Navy in World War 2 and took part in the Normandy invasion.
