A Cedar Rapids Pizza Place Has Opened a Second Location

I smell some delicious pizza!

Back in June, it was revealed that Aroma Artisan Pizza would be opening a second location in the city of Cedar Rapids. Their original location at NewBo City Market, which opened in 2017, is still going strong, but now there's another shop over in the Kingston Yard. It's at 151 1st Ave SW, right down the street from Pickle Palace.

Aroma Artisan Pizza specializes in wood-fired pizzas. Their website says that each pizza consists of "homemade dough, hand crushed sauce, freshly grated and shredded cheeses, and a great assortment of toppings," which make for the "highest quality pizza experience." The menu features classic pizzas, like margherita, pepperoni, and sausage, but there are also some specialty pizzas, such as Chicken Bianca, Carmelized Onion & Bleu Cheese, Pesto Prosciutto, and Buffalo Chicken.

Aroma's new location officially opened its doors on Friday, November 1st and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. They are inviting customers to "stop by for a slice, a wood fired pizza or a large New Yorker." An earlier article from the Cedar Rapids Gazette says that the new eatery has seating for 25 customers, plus some patio seating, as well. There are actually a couple of other new restaurants that are set to open soon in the Downtown Cedar Rapids area! Citywalk Eatery is moving into the former home of Barrel House at 102 2nd St SE, and BarTini's will also be located in the Kingston Yard.
