Angel Reese Hits Caitlin Clark in the Head During Flagrant Foul

When Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese entered the WNBA, they were hailed as the next great rivalry in the game. Many viewed them as the next Magic and Larry Bird. Make no doubt about it. The rivalry is real and Sunday's game in Indianapolis proved that it will be worth watching for years to come.

The last time Indiana and Chicago got together, Caitlin Clark got knocked to the floor courtesy of a foul by Chennedy Carter. The foul would later be upgraded to a flagrant one after the game was completed. On Sunday, Clark would again see physical play and another flagrant foul against her, this time by her former LSU rival Angel Reese.

Reese was called for the foul and officials reviewed the play. It was then correctly upgraded to a flagrant one. I don't know if Reese was going for the ball or not, but it was another hard foul against Caitlin Clark. When asked about the foul after the game, Clark simply stated, "It is what it is." When Angel Reese was asked, she claimed that some players get a "special whistle." The rivalry continues.

Meanwhile, Clark had arguably her best game as a pro. ESPN reports that she made 7 of 11 shots including three 3-point shots. Clark finished with 23 points, nine assists, and 8 rebounds. She even threw in 2 blocked shots. Aliyah Boston had 19 points and 14 rebounds as the Fever won back-to-back games for the first time this season.

The Fever and Sky will get together one more time in Chicago on August 30th. We can't wait.
