Adoptable Local Pets Just $5 This Saturday Only
Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control is celebrating their 5th year in the new shelter on the Kirkwood Community College campus with an amazing offer this Saturday. Dogs and cats can be adopted, that day only, for five dollars.
It's the annual PAWS for the Holidays special for adoptions, and it truly is special this year. It's part of Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control's (CRACC) Open House. Here are some other things you need to know from a post on their Facebook page:
- Adoptions are first come/first serve. There are no "holds" or deposits.
- Renters: CRACC must check with landlords or condo associations before approving adoption of a pet. All renters must pay pet deposits in advance.
- If you have pets, you must bring proof that they're vaccinated for rabies.
- If you have a dog, already, CRACC requires a meet-and-greet between your existing dog and the one you want to adopt before approving an adoption.
- No animals can be adopted as "gifts." Instead, you should purchase a gift certificate as the gift. The $5 adoption special does not apply.
