There are some bars and restaurants in the area that allow dogs on their patio, but what about a bar that's specifically designed FOR dogs and their humans?

According to a new article from the Des Moines Register, there's a new "canine retreat" opening soon at 6218 Willowmere Drive in Des Moines. Paws & Pints features a dog park, a coffee house, a bar and kitchen, a vet clinic, a doggy daycare, a dog hotel and spa, a training facility, and a shop.

The Paws & Pints website says that they wanted to create a "one-of-a-kind dog park experience that’s designed for optimal canine and human enjoyment." There is a total of 20,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor space for your pup to run free, and when the weather is nice, they can enjoy 3.5 acres of outdoor fun! The "Doggy Disneyland" includes a doggy jungle gym, an interactive water feature, a walking trail, and fresh water & clean up stations. Dogs can also enjoy on-site meals and treats from The Bone Bar.

Paws & Pints not just about the dogs! Humans will have access to TVs, multiple bars, snacks, games, wifi, and more. They even plan to have live music! The bar features a variety of signature cocktails, over 20 beers on tap, and "quality bar fare." There's also a 5 Borough Bagels Express for coffee and bagels in the morning and early afternoon.  And don't forget to check out the Bonetique, which is a shop with toys, pet supplies, and fun accessories!

Iowans who want to bring their pups to Paws and Pints can get a membership for $49 per month, or buy one-day or three-day passes for $10 or $25. All guests bringing in dogs will be required to sign a dog park waiver and provide vaccination records. You can get more information on memberships and passes HERE. The countdown clock on their website says they plan to open to the public in ten days.
