A familiar name in the Cedar Rapids restaurant business is about to return.

A restaurant and a donut shop in Oak Hill Jackson have closed and been transferred to a familiar name, according to the Cedar Rapids Gazette. Oak Hill Tavern and its neighbor, Glazed and Infused Donut Shop, closed earlier this month with both spaces sold to Riley's Cafe.

Oak Hill Tavern, which opened at the corner of 8th Ave and 5th Street SE in October of 2023, posted on its social media page about the sale to Riley's on June 6th.

Glazed and Infused, which had only been open since March of this year, shared that same post on its social media page on June 13th,  announcing that it too had been sold to Riley's Cafe. The Gazette reports that the new restaurant will be in the same hands as Oak Hill and Glazed and Infused. Both restaurants operated under the Epic Catering Group owned by Kory Nanke.

The Gazette reports that Riley's Cafe used to be a breakfast staple in the Cedar Rapids area. At one time they boasted three locations, 1st Ave in Cedar Rapids, Boyson Road NE, and on 7th Ave. in Marion. The three locations were closed or were sold in the fall of 2021.
