Ahavah Venues

At 1902 E. Schrock Road in Waterloo sits a three-acre property that is surrounded by farm fields called Ahavah.

Ahavah is a Hebrew word meaning “to love” and is both a verb and a noun, according to the official venue website. This venue is described as a "modern and contemporary space" that actually "embraces a beautifully minimalistic design and will shine even with little to no decorations."

According to a report from the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Courier, the owners of Ahavah; Alisa Higgins, Sarah and Keith Mahipala purchased the 110-year-old farmhouse and property in 2023.

Some of the more interesting features of the wedding venue includes a lower-level men’s lounge for the groomsmen that has a bar, mini fridge, large television, and a pool table.

Grand Opening

To celebrate the venue opening up for business, the owners of Ahavah have organized a grand opening party on site. It is set to take place on Sunday, February 18th from noon to 3:00 PM, according to reports.

Attendees will be able to check out this new space that afternoon. The celebration will also include a ribbon cutting, light appetizers, drinks and live music.
