Your Guide to Lost Island Waterpark & Themepark’s 2026 Season

Themepark and waterpark season are right around the corner, and a couple of the best ones in Iowa are gearing up for an exciting year! We've got all the details you need ahead of Lost Island Waterpark & Themepark's opening for the 2026 season, including all of the specials and events on the calendar!

Golf & Go-Karts Schedule

The first of the Waterloo, Iowa attractions to open for the 2026 season are Lost Island Waterpark's Adventure Golf Course and Go-Kart Racing Track. Beginning on May 1st, golf & go-karts will be available on Fridays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. They will also be open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27th, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

On Friday, June 5th, the golf & go-kart attractions will switch over to regular summer hours, which means they will be open daily from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. until the end of the season on Sunday, August 23rd.

For the remaining days of the 2026 season, mini golf & go-karts will go back to weekends only: Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, September 27th is their final day open for the year.

Lost Island Themepark Schedule

Lost Island Themepark is the first of the two parks to open for the 2026 season, with opening day set for Friday, May 23rd. The only other days the park will be open in May are the 24th, 25th, 30th, and 31st, with the hours listed as 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Beginning on June 5th, Lost Island Themepark will switch to their summer hours, and will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Then, starting on July 3rd, the park will stay open late on Fridays & Saturdays. Until August 15th, the themepark will remain open on Fridays & Saturdays until 9:30 p.m.

After August 23rd, Lost Island Themepark will switch back to weekends only, with their final day open set for Labor Day, Monday, June 7th.

Lost Island Waterpark Schedule

And finally, we have the opening of Lost Island Waterpark! Opening day for the 2026 season is Friday, June 5th, and the park will remain open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. until August 23rd.

After the 23rd, Lost Island Waterpark will switch to weekends only, with the final day of the season set for Sunday, August 30th.

Ticket Info

Individual tickets for both of the parks are available to purchase in advance, but you also have the option to bundle the two parks together for a discounted price. You can do this with the 1-Day Island Pass or the 2-Day Island Pass. If you plan to visit several times throughout the summer, there are three different types of season passes available, too.

Tickets for other attractions are available to purchase in advance, as well, including Adventure Golf, go-karts, cabana rentals, and passes for the Mermaid Experience.
