After a loooonnnggg Iowa winter, the Interstate 380 corridor needs some cleaning and here's your way to help and possibly be a part of history too!

The City of Cedar Rapids, in partnership with Keep Iowa Beautiful and the Iowa Department of Transportation, is looking for volunteers to set the Guinness Book of World Records achievement for the longest litter clean-up in the world. The record setting event will include areas along the Avenue of the Saints, which includes Interstate 380.

On April 26, 2014 volunteers will gather to collect litter along sections of Interstate 380 from 9am to noon. Volunteers can sign up to participate in the litter collection event at www.iGreenCR.com. The City is planning for 300 volunteers this year. For more information about the event, call (319) 286-5897.
