The Edgewood-Colesburg CSD is Home to Our ‘Teacher of the Week’

Happy Friday!

It's time for us to announce our latest KHAK 'Teacher of the Week!' This week's winning teacher is Karen George, the art teacher at Edgewood-Colesburg Elementary School in Colesburg. Karen was nominated by Linda Tegeler, a fellow teacher. She wrote:

"This teacher is the most caring person who takes every child under her wing. Her day is filled with children walking in and out of her art room from the moment the doors open on the elementary building to the time the doors close. She donates time and many other needed items to kids, families, and staff. This amazing woman drops everything to help with at-risk kids. Her art projects are out of this world and our elementary building is always dressed for every holiday. Karen deserves recognition and will always be one that I will look up to as a coworker!"

For being such an amazing teacher, Karen will be receiving gift cards to Half Price Books and Wild Hogs Saloon & Eatery.
