What a holiday weekend! Mine started off great at the Hawkeye football game on Saturday with a win over UNI. Sunday was nice and warm and a big night of racing for me in Dubuque.

Go FAS Racing announced that 21-year-old Iowa Native Joey Gase will make his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut on September 14 at Chicagoland Speedway in the #32 Ford.

First off, I want to state that I am not a member of the Tony Stewart fan club or Kevin Ward Jr. fan club. I admire them both. I am, however, a proud member of the dirt racing community and when something happens to a fellow driver/drivers, we all feel the pain.

A very sad, tragic accident occurred over the weekend. Kevin Ward Jr. lost his life after being struck by the sprint car driven by Tony Stewart.
