Sorry Hipsters…Beards Are For Average Guys Too

I am not a hipster. I'm not trying to make any sort of fashion statement. But yes, I am rocking a beard. Beards used to be something that guys would grow during cold weather months. But in the last several years, beards have become fashionable. Trendy. That could soon be changing. Why? Let's look at the 'average' bearded man.

A new survey looked at guys with beards. Why? I'm not sure. But it found that the average man with a beard is just that. Average. He is around 34 years old. He lives in the city. He makes around $60.000 a year and is either married or in a relationship. He goes to the gym a decent amount and he's had his beard for around 2 years. I line up with some of these criteria, but don't with others. Why do I like having a beard? It helps cover up my double chin. It makes up for the fact I can't grow any hair on my head. My wife likes it. These are also not very 'fashionable' reasons to stay bearded.

Guys, are beards still the 'in' thing to have? Why do YOU grow a beard?
