I remember watching The Masters in 1997. I remember watching a young Tiger Woods crush the field, and make Jim Nantz proclaim it "a win for the ages." It ushered in the era of Tiger. Sunday, a young Texan named Jordan Spieth matched Wood's record low number of 270 and became the new face of American Golf. How great was Spieth at this year's Masters? Check out just a few of the records he set.

  • Matches Master's 72 hole scoring record of 270, 18 under par.
  • Most total birdies for the week with 28
  • First player in Masters history to reach 19 under par.
  • 1st wire to wire Masters winner since 1976.

The numbers are amazing, and Spieth is only 21 years old. But what makes him so attractive to golf fans and sponsors everywhere is what type of person he is. He's humble, modest and a proffessional. He has a 14 year old sister who has special needs. Speith says she is what keeps him constantly grounded. His feet may be on the ground, but Jordan Spieth is just taking off.
