Late last year, I let the cat out of the bag (did I really just type that) by announcing we were getting a kitten. Before he got to come home, we had to chat.

Charlie was very young when he first arrived on the doorstep of one of my wife's former co-workers prior to Thanksgiving. Since we already had a cat at home, we wanted to make sure he was tested for feline leukemia before taking him to the house. Unfortunately, that test can't be done when kittens are very small. So... Friday morning he passed that test. Before he went home with Julie, I had to give him some ground rules, and warnings.

The weekend was interesting at our house. Caylie almost seems disinterested. Maybe she thinks if she ignores him, Charlie will go away. Cooper has two issues. He wants to play with Charlie in the WORST way but you can also tell he's jealous. He's jealous of Caylie anytime she gets attention too, so it's nothing new. We'll be continuing to work through the introduction process all week and hope that everybody becomes friends sooner rather than later.
