When we lost a cat to cancer in the summer of 2014, Julie immediately wanted another one to join our remaining cat Caylie. Introducing Charlie, who will take up residence in the James household in January.

Julie has always wanted an orange long-haired cat. This is him (below). He showed up on a friend's doorstep in rural Linn County in mid-November and was very young. Since it was almost the holidays, we decided to wait until after the first of the year to take him home, so he wouldn't be too stressed out in a new environment and with everything going on this time of the year. They'd been calling him "Kitty" so the little fella wouldn't be confused when it was time to move on. Since we had a Cooper and a Caylie at home, Julie wanted to stick with a "C" name and we decided Charlie might be it. They called him a few other names too (NO, not those kinds of names) but decided that Charlie seemed to be the one he seemed to react to. So... Charlie it is. We both visited him a few weeks ago and Julie went and took some updated photos over the weekend.

I hope Cooper (Sheltie) and Caylie know what they're in for because this guy is a serious bundle of energy.
