KHAK’s ‘Teacher of the Week’ — December 2nd

Every week we honor another awesome teacher in the local area with our ‘Teacher of the Week’ award!

Congratulations to Karla Robison of HLV Community Schools in Victor, this week’s ‘Teacher of the Week!” Karla was nominated by Audrey Waterbeck. Here’s what she had to say:

“Karla started out being a Special Education Teacher and impacted her students before going on for further education to be a Guidance Counselor, Coach of High School Girls Volleyball and teaches Business Communications, as well as going into the elementary classrooms. She also started the Silver Cord Award whereby high school students have to have 40 hours each year of community service to be able to wear a Silver Cord at graduation time. She has put a lot of time and energy into making her job one of the best at HLV.”

Karla will be receiving gift cards from Wild Hogs in Walford, Peck’s Flower Shop, Half Price Books, and Kathy’s Pies.
