Kenny Chesney is among the victims of Hurricane Irma. Kenny told Headline News during an interview that his house on St. John in the Virgin Islands is, "simply gone."

During the interview with Robin Meade, Kenny said 20 friends and 10 dogs were using the home as shelter when Hurricane Irma hit the island. According to Kenny, the home had windows rated to withstand winds up to 200 miles-per-hour. They were no match for Irma. Kenny says, "Every window in the house just went out. They just blew out." Thankfully, Kenny reports everyone that was in his home survived the storm.

Despite his loss, Kenny is certainly not thinking of himself. He told Headline News, "That place and the people mean so much more to me than my house." He's already created a way for people to donate to the recovery effort. He calls it "Kenny Chesney's Love For Love City." You can donate HERE.

Chesney's full interview with Headline News is at the bottom of this story. The video includes footage of the damage on St. John and video that Kenny shot just days before the storm hit.
