The purr of a cat is an awesome sound unless it comes right next to your ear at 3 am. Then, not so much. I once had a cat that I'd place on my shoulder and he'd rub up against the side of my head seemingly forever. It was kind of his deal. I've never had another cat that would do it. I miss that.
