The Iowa Hawkeyes are 3-0 in Big Ten play and have a tough one tonight in East Lansing, MI against #5 Michigan State. Michigan State was the #1 team just over 2 weeks ago before losing to Iowa at Carver-Hawkeye arena. That loss is the only loss the Spartans have had this season.

The last time Iowa won at East Lansing was 23 years ago on Jan 26th, 1993 and what an incredible win that was. You see just 7 days before that game, Iowa lost an amazing player in a car accident in Iowa City. Jan 19th, 1993, Iowa basketball player Chris Steet was leaving a team meeting and pulled into the path of a snowplow and was killed at the scene. Iowa cancelled its game with Northwestern the next night, Jan 20th, so it's next game was on the road at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, MI. Iowa rallied from a 15 point deficit with 3 minutes 15 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime and won, 96-90 over Michigan State.

The video below shows the last several minutes of that game in East Lansing:

Tonight's game will be televised on ESPN with tip-off at 6 PM. GO HAWKS!!!
