Hawkeye Downs Roars Back To Open The Season Tonight

Tonight marks the opening of the 90th season of racing at Cedar Rapids’ Hawkeye Downs Speedway!

A full night of racing is on the card as Carpetland USA Late Models presented by Performance Concepts, Mountain Dew Sportsmen, Barron Motor Supply Hobby Stocks, Miller Time Hornets, and Dublin City Pub Legend Cars will take to the track for their first points events of the season.

Kids will want to visit the Lil’ Racers Car Club booth under the main Grandstand. It’s Lil’ Racer Car Club Flowers for Moms tonight. Kids can stop by the booth and pick up a long-stemmed carnation to present to their moms for Mothers Day.

The Front Gate and Concessions open at 6pm with Hot Laps slated for 6:30 pm. Pre-Race Ceremonies will begin at 7:25pm with the first race at 7:30pm.

Adult admission is $10, Senior Citizens (62+) are $7, Students over 12 are just $5, College Students are just $5 with a valid ID and Children 12 and Under are FREE!
