When I think back to my childhood, and remember all the great times I had at recess, ONE game sticks out in my mind.  Kickball.  Picking teams, rolling the pitch, the sound of foot against ball.  Getting your face smashed by a line drive.  Good times....good times.

My son Chase has a kickball tournament after school today, and parents are invited to watch.  How could we stay away!  For me, and I'm guessing other parents, kickball is a reminder of simpler times.  No mortgage, car payments or housework.  Just a simple game of trying to kick the living crap out of a plastic ball.

So if you want to know where I'll be later today, I'll be near a big, green grassy field watching my son try and clobber that ball.  And I'll be praying for the kid playing third with glasses.  I feel your pain buddy.  I feel your pain.
