The Iowa Hawkeyes are off to their best start since 2009 and after the first week of the Big Ten Schedule, are one of the favorites to win the West Division.

The Michigan Wolverines started off the season with a loss at Utah, but the Wolverines have found some chemistry and a very solid defense and are looking at their Big Ten Schedule and liking what they see. Michigan does have some very tough game ahead on their schedule with two Top 5 teams in both Michigan State and Ohio State. What will help Wolverines is that BOTH of those games are at Michigan! The Big House will be rocking.

Iowa has a tough road match-up next weekend with Northwestern in Evanston, IL. Northwestern is playing very good football and like every game in the Big Ten, you need to show up and play hard every Saturday.

If both Iowa and Michigan can win their Divisions, they would meet up in December in Indianapolis for the Big Ten Title. That something that both Iowa & Michigan probably thought wouldn't happen earlier this year when Rudock decided to transfer to Michigan.

Until that time... it's time to focus on the Illini for Homecoming at Kinnick this Saturday.
