Don’t Even Think About Doing This With Your Apple Device

Oh the Internet, where you read about fun things to do with you phone. More often than not, it's all about things to do with your i-phone, i-pad, or whatever apple product you might have. We've all had fun with Siri and her 'sassitude', but this new one quickly becomes no laughing matter.

It's been going around the net that the fun thing to do is reset your device to January 1, 1970. Seems harmless, right? Maybe you've seen the ad. It's seems legit.  Set the date, turn your your device off and back on, and BOOM, it has an old retro theme. They even call it the very tempting term... "Easter Egg".

Here's the thing: It's destroys your phone.Yup. It locks itself up so that it's completely unusable. Nice. Good news is, according to Reddit, Apple is working on a fix. It's also rumored that if you do fall for this, they will replace your phone for free apparently, though we're sure there'll be a few conditions. Until then, we hope the word gets out to all you curious Apple users before it's too late.
