A Relaxing And Extremely Quiet Day On The Wapsi

Last weekend the weather was beautiful. Sunday was an extremely sunny day and a great day to be outside. This summer, we decided to buy kayaks and have some fun on the water. Little did we know, we would have more fun than we could ever imagine.

Now with fall just around the corner, we decided that any warm sunny day would be spent on the water. So Sunday we headed to the Wapsipinicon River and started off at Paris, Iowa and floated to Pinicon Ridge Park in Central City. A 3-hour float. One thing we  noticed on our float, no one else was floating on the river. We did meet three boats, but that was it. Usually, during the summer, the river is buzzing with people floating on kayaks and tubes down the river and meeting flat bottom boats and jet skis.

Summer is almost over with, but it's still a great time to float and relax in the sun on the river.
