You Can Enjoy a Candlelit Dinner on the Cedar Rapids Bridge of Lions
How does THIS sound for a date night?
"Picture this: A beautiful September night, welcome drinks, tasty appetizers, festive candlelit dinner tables spanning the 16th Ave Bridge of Lions, a great local meal accompanied by local beverages, lots of music and a silent auction of great items from Czech Village and New Bohemia."
If that sounds good to you, then you should purchase tickets for the 2022 Dinner on the Bridge! The annual event will return to the Bridge of Lions in Cedar Rapids on Thursday, September 8th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Czech Village & New Bohemia districts.
There will be four different restaurants participating in this year's Dinner on the Bridge, and each restaurant will offer two different options, one dish with meat and one vegetarian dish. Here are your choices:
- Amos Deans Catering
- Wood Fired Chicken
- Grilled Garden Vegetables
- Czech Town Station
- Stuffed Chicken Marsala
- Vegetarian Lasagna Rollup
- Lion Bridge Brewing Co.
- Beef Brisket Burnt Ends
- Plant-Based Meatballs
- Peppercorn Food Company
- Braised Bone-In Short Ribs
- Harvest Butternut Squash Fried Rice
Tickets for Dinner on the Bridge typically sell-out, so it's important to purchase your tickets early. In fact, a lot of seats have already been reserved. The seating chart is arranged into sections based on the restaurant you want, so you will have to select from the available seats in that designated area. Each ticket costs $100. You can purchase yours HERE. The 2021 event had 534 attendees across 55 tables.
The District is gearing up to host several other events this fall! You can check out the latest updates on the Facebook page HERE.
