Willy Ray’s Q Shack Handing Out FREE Meals Today

Willie Ray Fairley, the owner of Willie Ray's Q Shack in Cedar Rapids, has become well known not only for his great food but for his amazing generosity. Fairley has traveled the nation, bringing free food to areas touched by natural disasters like floods and hurricanes. He also served free meals to those hit hard by the derecho in 2020. Fairley has announced that today only, he's once again serving those in need here in our community.

Fairley announced that he and his staff will be giving away between 250 and 300 free meals today only. He made the announcement on his Facebook page. The giveaway starts at 11 a.m. and will last while supplies last.

The meals that Fairley will be handing out will include 2 rib bones, pulled pork, rib tips, and brisket. Side dishes will include baked beans, potato salad, ro-mac, and corn. Fairley stated in his post that you will be allowed a meal for each person in a vehicle to make things fair for everyone. So if you want five meals, you'll need five people in your car. Willie Ray says that after today's giveaway, his restaurant will be closed for the remainder of the week.
