This weekend is a holiday weekend, which means I'll be headed back to my hometown of St. Clair Shores, Michigan! When people here in Iowa ask me where I'm from, I typically say, "Detroit," because most people actually know where that is. St. Clair Shores is within Metro Detroit, so I'm not technically lying...

St. Clair Shores has a population of just under 60,000 people and is located all the way over on the east side of the state. If there's anything that my hometown is known for, I would say it's the lovely (and very dirty) Lake St. Clair. It may not be much, but it's ours! We are also the home of Dave Coulier, aka Uncle Joey from the show Full House, and for the nachos from Boat Works. Just look at this masterpiece:
