It feels like baseball season just ended, and all too soon as usual. With winter creeping in, the Cedar Rapids Kernels have wasted no time in giving us something to tide us over until the warmer months.

Next season's schedule is out, and includes four noon games

The ever-popular "noon game" with a chance to take an extended lunch break or a half day off work, better yet take the crew out for a ballpark outing appears four times on the schedule. Grab your snacks and don't miss the first pitch at 12:05 p.m. for these games on May 25, June 15, June 22, and August 3.

Baby, you're a firework

These games are explosive and happen on eleven different occasions. In fact it's every scheduled Saturday night home game, plus a 4th of July spectacular against Quad Cities starting at 6:35 p.m.

Across the schedule, with the exception of the noon games, most will start at 2:05 p.m. on Sunday and at 6:35 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

Theme nights and promotions are always a big part of the fun

The theme events and promotional schedule will come out at a later time. While we're thinking baseball and our proximity to Christmas, let's talk stocking stuffers. Kernels season tickets are available now in Premier, Club, and Plaza seating and come in full-season packages, half-season packages, and quarter-season packages. Holidays and weekends will be distributed equally within each ticket package. Learn more here about how you can help that baseball fan in your life think warm throughout the winter months and holiday season to tide them over until the crack of the bat is heard again on April 8th.
