University of Iowa Announces New Television Sports Show
Two longtime television shows featuring the head coaches of the University of Iowa football and men's basketball programs are coming to an end. That's especially good news for fans of Iowa wrestling and women's basketball.
The University of Iowa announced today a new series called "The Heartland" will debut beginning this Wednesday, August 28. The show will feature 13 episodes on Iowa football this fall. During the winter sports season, Iowa men's basketball with be included in twelve episodes. Iowa women's basketball and Hawkeye wrestling will each be included in half of the shows this winter.
The show will include features on coaches, staff members, and student-athletes, and what they do each day in the program.

Fall/Football show:
- Mediacom MC 22: Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m.
- KCWI, Des Moines: Saturday at Noon
- CFU, Cedar Falls: Friday at 5/9:30 p.m. and Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
- NCRG/KCRGD2, Cedar Rapids: Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
- KCRG, Cedar Rapids: Saturday at 9 a.m.
- WHBF/KGCW, Rock Island: Saturday at 11 a.m.
- KGCW, Rock Island: Saturday at 7:30 a.m.
- KYOU, Ottumwa: Saturday at 7:30 a.m.
Winter/Men's Basketball and Wrestling/Women's Basketball show:
