Two Popular 90s TV Actors Will Be at Des Moines Con This Month
If you grew up in the 90s, you'll probably recognize these two faces!
Comic book conventions are happening all over the country in 2022, and that includes one here in Iowa! Next week, Des Moines Con will take over Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines, and there are a couple of special guests you may recognize.
The first familiar face is actor Will Friedle. Will is probably best known as the dumb and charming older brother Eric Matthews on the hit ABC show Boy Meets World, which ran for seven seasons between the years of 1993 to 2000. In the years since, he has done a lot of voice acting, including voicing the character of Ron Stoppable on the Disney series Kim Possible. He also made several appearances on the Boy Meets World reboot, Girl Meets World. You can check out his full filmography HERE.
Another name you may recognize is Kel Mitchell, who was one of the stars of the Nickelodeon show Kenan & Kel. The popular program ran from 1996 to 2000, but both Kenan and Kel first got their start on the series All That, which began in 1994. The sketch comedy series also led to the creation of the movie Good Burger in 1997. You may also know Kel from season 28 of Dancing with the Stars... he came in second place! You can read more about his career HERE.
Other guests at Des Moines Con this year include wrestler Johnny Gargano, red Power Ranger Austin St. John, and more. You can check out a full lineup of special guests and purchase your tickets for the event May 21st & 22nd HERE.
