It's that time of year again! The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders are back in the playoffs, and the Stable is ready for Fan Appreciation night this Friday, April 12. On Sunday, they will have another "Try Hockey Free" clinic.

Kids ages 4-11 can participate this Sunday, April 14 from 12:15-1:15 p.m. at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. It's billed as a great opportunity for kids to learn the basics of the sport of hockey in a fun, safe environment.

No hockey equipment is required. It will be provided, but participants should bring a bike helmet, a jacket or long sleeve shirt, long socks, and a pair of winter gloves and be ready to learn and play!

You should register in advance at the Junior RoughRiders website. Once again, we couldn't be luckier to have an organization providing fun, entertainment and learning for kids and families for upwards of 20 years with the ability to offer these clinics.

"We are excited to partner with the RoughRiders Hockey Club and USA Hockey for this clinic", said Lindsey Graham, marketing and events manager for the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena in a press release.
