There are 38 New Potential Emojis

What do a pregnant woman, a shark, and bacon all have in common? They are all being considered for the next group of new emojis!

The people in charge of emojis, the Unicode Consortium, have just released a list of new emojis that are being considered for next summer's release of Unicode 9. Not all 38 of the emojis are likely to be chosen, but you very well could be seeing most of these new ones next year! Here are a few of my favorites:

• A pregnant lady
• Bacon (Baconfest, anyone?)
• Fingers crossed
• A dancing man (to partner with the dancing woman, of course!)
• A shark
• A potato
• A cowboy
• A drooling face
