The Most Commonly Misspelled Word in Iowa

Not a day goes by that I'm not thankful for spell check. Don't get me wrong, I'm not horrible at spelling, but there are a lot of words that I mess up a LOT, and I'd really like to look smart.

Google Trends recently released a map showing the most commonly misspelled words across all 50 states, and I won't lie to you, the winner for Iowa caught me a little off-guard. When I hear the word "vacuum," I know there are two "u"s, but what about the "c"s? Luckily, I don't have to spell that word very often. Here are some of the most commonly misspelled words in surrounding Midwest states:

• Illinois & Wisconsin - Beautiful
• Minnesota - Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
• Missouri - Sincerely 
• Nebraska - Nocturnal
• South Dakota - Chaos
