The Knockouts have arrived! This week NBC's 'The Voice' started airing the Knockout Rounds, which means we are losing singers left and right! We are one step closer to the lives, though, and that's when things REALLY get serious.

Before we get to my favorite performances, I want to give props to NBC for getting Mariah Carey to agree to mentor this season. If I walked into a room and was told I had to sing in front of her, I would walk straight back out! There's just no denying that she is one of the most iconic singers of the 90s, and although that's intimidating, I think it makes her one of the best possible mentors.

I have a few favorite performances this week, and one of them was from Dave Fenley. He proved that, even though he's a country guy, he can sing literally anything and make it sound good. His cover of Lionel Richie's "Stuck on You" secured his spot on Team Blake.

17-year-old Abby Cates amazed her coach Kelly Clarkson by singing one of her songs, "Because of You." She's just one of the teens on the show this season that is absolutely killing it!

Another performance I loved this week came from Team JHUD's Patrique Fortson. He sang one of my favorite songs, "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith. Just listen to how angelic his voice is!

And last but certainly not least, MaKenzie Thomas had my final favorite performance from this week's episodes. I mean, if you can make Mariah Carey cry, you definitely deserve a mention! Here's her cover of "How Deep is Your Love" by the Bee Gees:
