There are a lot of great schools in Iowa, but some have stood out over the rest. U.S. News compiled data ranking 23,000 public high schools in all 50 states. A number of factors went into determining the ranks including things like graduation rate, college readiness, and enrollment. Here’s which Iowa high schools came in on top.

- Decorah High School (Decorah)
- Gilbert High School (Gilbert)
- Ankeny Centennial High School (Ankeny)
- Pleasant Valley High School (Bettendorf)
- Adm Senior High School (Adel)
- Williamsburg Jr-Sr High School (Williamsburg)
- Johnston Senior High School (Johnston)
- Ankeny High School (Ankeny)
Some Linn County schools ranked high on the list too. Cedar Rapids’ George Washington High School ranked #12, Linn-Mar High School in Marion came in at #16, and John F.
