If you watched last night's episode of The Walking Dead, you were probably screaming and/or sobbing hysterically (or maybe that was just me). A major character and one of the most beloved characters, Glenn, appeared to meet his fate in a gruesome and tragic manner. After Nick totally lost his mind and decided to take his own life, Glenn was dragged down into the massive mob of zombies with Nick's lifeless body. That's where we saw Glenn die.

Or did we?

First of all, there's the theory that the entire scene was a hallucination by Nick in his messed up state of mind. Although that is entirely possible, it seems like a bit of a stretch. There's another theory that Glenn is hidden underneath Nick's dead body, and that all the organs and the guts that are being flung around are not actually Glenn's, but Nick's. Somehow Glenn could be overlooked by the walkers because they are too distracted by Nick's body. Again, this also seems too good to be true. Unless there is another massive noise distraction that can draw the walkers away from the fresh meat before they get to Glenn, this theory seems like wishful thinking.

The main reason for all of these theories is that nobody wants to believe that Glenn is dead. I know I don't! But after watching many characters I loved die brutal deaths, it is entirely possible that Glenn is officially gone.

BUT WAIT.

"The Talking Dead," which airs directly after new episode of "The Walking Dead," DID NOT include Glenn in their dead list. I REPEAT, they did NOT INCLUDE GLENN in the “In Memoriam” montage. That's HUGE. Remember when we all thought that Judith was dead after the episode in the prison with her bloody stroller? They also did not include her in the montage that night, and it turned out that she was alive. So there is hope! They also did not bring Steven Yeun, the actor that plays Glenn, onto "The Talking Dead" to say goodbye, like they have done with so many other fallen characters (remember when Beth died and Emma Kinney came on to say goodbye? BRUTAL).

A lot of fans of the comic book also believe that Glenn can't be dead, because there is still another huge storyline from the comic books that can't be done without him. Apparently he is of vital importance in a plot that includes a group called "The Saviors."

Last but not least, there is a picture that has surfaced of Glenn on set with a bunch of characters that we haven't even met yet! That's a good sign! Click HERE to see it.

I'll leave you with one last bit of information. "The Talking Dead" read this note from showrunner Scott Gimple on last night's episode:

"Dear fans of ‘The Walking Dead,’ this is a hard story to tell and when we were planning to tell it, we knew our friends at the ‘Talking Dead’ would be talking to you about it. And knowing you’d all be talking and feeling and commiserating, I knew we should say something about it, lest our silence say something we didn’t mean to say or not say. So I’ll say this: In some way, we will see Glenn, some version of Glenn, or parts of Glenn again, either in flashback or in the current story, to help complete the story."

It looks like we are going to have to wait a few weeks to find out what happened, because next week's episode will be all about Morgan. DANG IT, WALKING DEAD. YOU'RE KILLING ME.

What do you think? Is Glenn REALLY dead? Leave your thoughts in the comments!
