Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has ordered that all flags in the state of Iowa be flown at half-staff through Thursday in honor of a long-time Midwest Senator and one-time presidential candidate.
On Monday, flags will be flown at half staff to honor the individuals who were killed in the deadly attack at Anamosa State Penitentiary. Two staff members died at the hands of inmates at the facility.
Fed Ex driver Matt Uhrin was honored by the American Legion Post in Marion for stepping in and saving two U.S. flags from being burnt during a demonstration in Iowa City last month.
