Suspect in IC Ped Mall Shooting Charged With Murder

The Iowa City Police Department is reporting in a release that a man has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting of Kaleek Asham Douglas Jones, 22, last Sunday.

Police had previously charged 21-year-old Lamar Cheyenne Wilson, as seen above, on three counts of intimidation with a dangerous weapon as well as three counts of attempted murder. Wilson has now been charged with first-degree murder after the death of one of the shooting victims. The ICPD says that the investigation is still ongoing and the public's help is still needed.
