Sleeping Naked is Actually Good for Your Health
Take it ALL off! As it turns out, the 1/3 of adults who sleep completely in the nude are actually doing things right!
Not only is sleeping fully naked very comfortable (I can speak from experience), but it also has multiple health benefits! Here are a few of them
- It helps regulate your temperature. When your body temperature is lower, you are able to fall asleep easier, and the quality of your sleep is better.
- It helps reduce your chances for infections down THERE, because it keeps you dry and aired out.
- It helps couples bond and increases intimacy. Dr. Sarah Brewer says, "sleeping naked gives us a sense of freedom and may help you feel more sexy and loving." She adds, "humans are highly-tuned to the sight of bare skin and this acts as a signal for sexual arousal. Sleeping naked can help improve intimacy between you and your partner and give you a boost of body confidence."
The study also found that men are more likely to sleep naked than women, and people over the age of 50 are more likely to than any other age group.
