A shooting at a BP gas station in northeast Cedar Rapids resulted in one injury earlier this afternoon. Cedar Rapids Police responded to a report of shots fired at 12:19 p.m. at the BP on the corner of 42nd Street and Center Point Road NE.  When police arrived, they found an 18-year-old female who had at least one gunshot wound. She was driving a black sport utility vehicle when witnesses reported a man in a silver Pontiac pulled up next to her and fired multiple shots into her vehicle.

After getting a description of the suspect, officers located his vehicle in the 1100 block of Center Point Road NE and then found the man on foot near 32nd Street and Eastern Avenue NE, where he was arrested.

UPDATE:  Cedar Rapids Police have charged 18-year old Brandon Don Gordon of Marion with Attempted Murder, two counts of Going Armed with Intent, two counts of Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, and Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury.

Gordon is being charged for the Attempted Murder of 19-year old Rodney Da Vas Burt of Marion, who was uninjured in the shooting.  The Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury charge was filed for the shooting of 18-year old Kirsten Meyer of Cedar Rapids.  She was shot at least once and transported to a local hospital.
