Sawyer Brown Returns to K-Hawk Country Next Summer
One of my favorite acts to watch live is returning to eastern Iowa during the summer of 2020. Sawyer Brown is back!
Sawyer Brown will headline at the Linn County Fair in Central City on Friday, June 26. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, November 30 and for three days, they'll be two for $20. Ten bucks each. You're not going to find a better deal than that. Get details HERE. Sign up to win a 4-pack of tickets HERE.
Mark Miller brings an infectious joy to the stage as the long-time frontman of Sawyer Brown, a band that won TV's 'Star Search' in 1984. The following year, the band that named themselves after the Nashville street they rehearsed on, had three top-10 records.
In the years that have followed, Sawyer Brown has released 23 albums and put more than 50 songs on the country music charts. However, the band is legendary not just for their live shows, but how many they've done.
Since the early 1980s, Sawyer Brown has performed more than 4,500 live shows. They're the only act that headlined our KHAK Free Country Concert three times. The almost unknown Tim McGraw opened for them in 1993 on a Saturday night that the then Five Seasons Center reached its absolute maximum capacity.
Central City, Iowa is lucky enough to have Sawyer Brown on the bill in 2020. They're a great bunch of guys who put on a terrific show. If you've never seen them before, I highlight recommend attending this one. If you've seen Sawyer Brown before, I know you're already marking June 26 on your calendar.
