Porsche Returns to Iowa for the First Time in Decades
If you're in the market for a high-performance German-made car, you officially have another place to shop. Porsche is back in Iowa!
The Des Moines Register reports that the Woodhouse Auto Group of Omaha has opened their brand new Porsche dealership. It is the first Porsche dealer in Des Moines since 2008 and the only one located in Iowa. It is located at 7220 Lake Drive in West Des Moines.
The Register reports that Woodhouse has been planning the new dealership since 2022. The following year, they purchased 2.2 acres for $1.86 million at the corner of the I-80 interchange and Jordan Creek Parkway. The business officially opened in early July.
The previous Porsche dealer in the Des Moines area was the Ramsey Auto Group in Urbandale, according to the Register. When it dropped the Porsche brand, Woodhouse purchased its remaining inventory.
In case you're curious as to how much a new Porsche 911 would cost you, the base model starts at $115,000, with a 911 S/T model going for nearly $300,000.
